The compliance requirements for B-BBEE varies according to the size of your entity, as measured by your annual turnover.

Exempt Micro Enterprises (EME's) are entities with an annual turnover less than R5m, and are not required to complete a B-BBEE scorecard. Qualifying Small Enterprises (QSE's) turnover between R5m and R35m p/a and are measured based on the best four elements of the seven element scorecard. Generic Enterprises (turnover more than R35m p/a) are measured based on all seven elements.
